Liquids that passengers normally carry in their carry-on bag includes Gels, Tooth Paste, Creams, Oil, Mouth Wash, aerosols, water, juice, etc.
Particularly passengers traveling to U.S, Australia, NZ, UK and Europe are allowed to bring only a quarter-sized bag of above items (not more than 100 milliliters of quantity per item) in their carry-on bag.
Placing these items in the small transparent plastic zip top bag separate from your other carry-on baggage will help you to quickly clear the security screening process. You can easily buy 100 ml small plastic bottles from Countdown, Pak N Save, etc stores for storing your liquids.
All Items larger than 100 milliliters must be packed in checked baggage.
Exemptions:
However, there are exemptions to the above 100ml rule in following cases:
MEDICATIONS
Medically required liquids, creams and medications (like Syrups) can be carried in excess of 100 milliliters in your carry-on baggage.
However, it is better to carry them in the original packaging with full name written and if you have the prescription for it do carry it along with you.
INFANT & CHILD NOURISHMENTS
Formula, breast milk and juice for infants and small children in quantities greater than 100 milliliters are allowed in carry-on baggage and do not need to fit within above quarter-sized bag.
The above tips will surely help you to clear the check-in security screening process and save you time and hassle from finding & taking out individually all items from your carry-on-baggage during security check.
